Why Hunters Choose Savuti Taxidermy Randburg
Selecting the right taxidermy partner is one of the most important decisions a hunter can make after a successful hunt. Quality taxidermy ensures that memories are preserved accurately, while poor workmanship can diminish the significance of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
At Savuti Taxidermy, we focus on three critical pillars:
Craftsmanship
Our mounts are designed to be lifelike and authentic. From muscle structure to facial expression, every detail is carefully executed to create a realistic representation of the animal.
Compliance
International and local regulations can be complex. Fortunately, our team understands the requirements involved in transporting trophies legally and efficiently.
Communication
Hunters deserve regular updates and clear communication. Therefore, we keep clients informed throughout the entire process, from collection and preparation to delivery.
These qualities have helped establish long-term relationships with hunters and outfitters both locally and internationally.
Our Comprehensive Taxidermy Services
Every hunter has different preferences, which is why Savuti Taxidermy offers a complete range of professional services designed to accommodate various trophy preservation requirements.
African Game Mounts
African wildlife remains our speciality. We create lifelike mounts that showcase the beauty and character of species such as:
- Kudu
- Eland
- Wildebeest
- Waterbuck
- Impala
- Nyala
- Springbok
- Other plains game species
Our extensive experience with African wildlife ensures authentic and accurate presentations.
Custom Mounts
Every hunting experience is unique. Consequently, many clients prefer custom-designed displays that reflect their personal vision and the story behind the hunt.
Bird Taxidermy
Bird preservation requires exceptional skill and patience. Our specialists carefully preserve feather detail, posture, and natural appearance to create stunning displays.
Fish Replicas
Fish trophies present unique challenges due to rapid colour fading after capture. As a result, our fish replicas offer a beautiful alternative that preserves the vibrant appearance of the original catch.
European Mounts
For hunters seeking a clean, elegant presentation, European mounts provide a timeless and sophisticated solution.
Supporting International Hunters
South Africa remains one of the world’s leading hunting destinations. As a result, many of our clients travel from overseas to experience African safaris and hunting adventures.
To support international hunters, we provide two specialised options.
Fully Processed Service
The Fully Processed option allows hunters to receive completed mounts ready for display upon arrival.
Benefits include:
- Professional mounting completed in South Africa
- Expert knowledge of African species
- Ready-to-display trophies
- Comprehensive quality control
- Reduced workload for overseas taxidermists
Dip And Pack Service
Many hunters prefer mounting their trophies closer to home. Therefore, our Dip and Pack service prepares trophies for safe and lawful transportation.
This service includes:
- Professional cleaning and treatment
- Veterinary-approved processing
- Export-ready preparation
- Biosecurity compliance
- Secure transportation packaging
Both options are handled with the same commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Compliance And International Export Expertise
Exporting hunting trophies involves extensive documentation and regulatory compliance. Fortunately, Savuti Taxidermy has developed significant expertise in this area.
As a veterinary-approved facility, we assist clients with:
- Export permit coordination

- CITES documentation where required
- South African regulatory compliance
- Import requirement coordination for destination countries
Furthermore, we operate in accordance with:
- NEMBA regulations
